Welcome to the exclusive fanfiction archive dedicated to Kitty Pryde (Shawdowcat) & Lance Alvers (Avalanche) of X-Men: Evolution. The archive is entitled Pryde & Prejudice, because the couple shares some similarities to the relationship of Elizabeth/Darcy. About Kitty & Lance - The Short Version Kitty Pryde & Lance Alvers were both introduced in the episode "X-Impulse" of X-Men: Evolution. They were introduced when Kitty went directly through her locker (because of her mutant powers) and met a shocked Lance. Lance informed her of his mutation, but she ran off terrified. Both of them left Illinois after that episode. The X-Men convinced Kitty to go to the Xavier Institute. While the X-Men's rival, The Brotherhood convinced Lance to join their team. The following season, during the episode "Growing Pains" it's noted that Lance has some feelings for Kitty. Lance's feelings grew to the point where he tried to join the X-Men. Lance's time with the X-Men didn't last and he returned back to The Brotherhood. They became in contact again in the episode "Shadowdance", when Kitty asked Lance to go to the Sadie's Hawkins dance with her. Shortly after the X-Men house had been destroyed by The Brotherhood, Kitty yells at Lance in "Mainstream" telling him that he's 'nothing but a hood' and he replied 'right, I'll never be good enough for you'. Kitty and Lance stopped speaking to each other until the end of series, where Lance followed Kitty to Mexico where she was in battle. At the end of the series, Kitty is holding Lance's arm.  Listed |
